3D Ecards with Gift Cards

One link, three things to open: a moving 3D card, a gift card from a brand they love, and, if you like, a video of you saying why. This is the full Never Forgotten Birthdays experience.

Card, video and gift, together

Plenty of places let you send an ecard, and plenty let you send a gift card. The difference here is that the card, a personal video and the gift card arrive as one thing, designed to be opened in order.

1. The front: a finished, moving 3D scene with their name on it.
2. The inside left: the gift page, with their gift card.
3. The inside right: your written message and your video.

Each part does a different job. The card makes it an occasion. The video makes it personal. The gift card gives them something to enjoy. Together they come closer to being there in person than any one of them alone.

Which cards include a gift page

Not every card is designed with a gift page. These three are:

• Happy Birthday Bear: a party-hatted teddy bear dancing toward the reader. A warm choice for almost any birthday.
• Quite A Catch: a birthday card whose front tells a short, funny fishing story, start to finish.
• Gold Star: an appreciation card for recognizing someone's work or effort.

The Big Wheel, Dragons and Princess Carousel don't include a gift page. They're still full 3D cards, and you can add a video to any of them. On those cards, the inside left page is a decorative 3D continuation of the front.

How to send a 3D ecard with a gift card

1. Choose a card with a gift page from all cards.
2. Personalize it: the recipient's name, your name, and any of the words on the card. Each card starts with ready-to-send wording you can keep or change.
3. Add a gift: choose a brand and pick an amount from the values that brand offers.
4. Add a video if you'd like: record one or upload a video you've already made.
5. Decide whether the card plays music.
6. Preview it, then send it now or schedule it for a future date.

The recipient gets a private link that opens in the browser on their phone, tablet or computer. No app and no account. You choose how you'd like to send it at the end.

Example: a birthday for someone far away

Your brother lives across the country and loves to fish. You choose Quite A Catch, change the message to mention the lake you went to as kids, add a gift card for a store he actually uses, and record a short video with your family singing. You schedule it for his birthday. On the day, he opens the link, watches the story play out on the front, opens the card to find the gift, and hears you all sing.

Example: thanking someone at work

A colleague carried a project over the line. You choose Gold Star, write a line about what they did, add a modest gift card for their lunch spot, and send it the same afternoon. See more work appreciation cards.

Gift or video: do you need both?

• Card only: a thoughtful, low-key way to mark the day. See 3D birthday ecards.
• Card and video: when you want them to hear from you. See video birthday cards.
• Card and gift: when you'd like to give something, and your written words say enough.
• Card, video and gift: for birthdays and thank-yous where you'd want to be there in person.

Don't need the card? You can send a gift card on its own, with or without a video. See gift cards with video messages and personalized digital gift cards.

Sound: card music and video

You decide whether the card plays music. If you add a video, the card's music pauses while it plays, then comes back when it ends. Card music and video sound are always controlled separately, and the gift page has no sound of its own.

What it costs

The card is $4.99. Adding a gift card is a $2.99 gift service fee plus the gift amount. Adding a video and a gift card together is $4.99 plus the gift amount. The gift amount goes to the gift card and is always listed separately from our fees.
